Taro Yuan Box Hill

Taro Yuan is a Taiwanese taro dessert chain that began as a market stall in Yunlin in 2005, grew to more than 200 stores in Taiwan and opened its first Australian shops in 2024. The Box Hill store is on Station Street. The menu is built around hand-made taro balls and taro mash, served in grass jelly shaved ice bowls, hot dessert soups, milk bingsu and mochi pops, alongside taro smoothies and a short list of brewed tea drinks.
